Today is moving day! Everything in our house is packed up and in boxes. I cant believe we have lived in Alabama for 2 years now, time sure does fly! We are sad to leave our amazing friends here at Fort Rucker, but it is so exciting to start a new chapter in our life.... HAWAII!!!! We still don't have a place to live, we don't even know what city we are going to live in... but we have faith that God will lead us in the right direction once we get there, Jaime has to keep reminding me of this when I see an awesome house online and I want to snatch it up. Patience is a virtue...
Well... Good bye Alabama, good bye Fort Rucker, good bye flight school, good bye Enterprise, good bye Boll Weevil, good bye to all our friends that we love, good bye 100 degree temps 10 months out of the year, good bye "ya'll," good bye to country living, good bye waffle house, good bye long desolate 2 lane roads, good bye Fort Rucker Infant Playgroup II, good bye to the "circle," good bye Cotton Creek, good bye Alabama College Football! Good bye to all the things we love and HATE about Alabama... we will miss it all - the good and the bad!
Now its time to say hello to tropical paradise! Hello sunshine, hello perfect weather, hello white sandy beaches, hello shopping paradise, hello palm trees, hello morning runs on the beach, hello bike rides, hello hiking, hello to all of our new friends we will make, hello island living, hello delish food, hello to all we have to look forward to in Hawaii! I cannot wait to see what life has in store for the Jarrin family!
Aloha!
My next post will be made from the beaches of Hawaii!!

oh Leah! this made me tear up. So many memories have been made, regardless of what you (WE!) think of Alabama, it will always be the place we became mommies. :) I wish you and Jaime and Cruz the safest, happiest journey and I know life will take you in the direction you're meant to go. It has been our good fortune to have met you and I will cherish the time we spent together with our babies. Keep in touch, we will miss you! Best of luck in your new adventure!!! love always, Dess & Killian Bickett
ReplyDeleteAlabama is where my precious grand baby Cruz was born ~ for this reason Alabama will always be a special place to me.
ReplyDeleteI know some day we will all return with Cruz to show him his birth place.
...until then I say good bye Alabama and Hello Hawaii!!
Bon Voyage Jaime, Leah & Cruz
I have a friend that served in the military and she told me about a website that offers special discounts for military families. What I found surprising was that it not only offers discounts through national companies, they had local restaurants and merchants that offered great deals, some were owned by vets. They also had news, some hilarious jokes, information for people interested in joining the military and so much more! Has anyone else seen this sight and have you gone to some of the businesses listed. Please let me know. The website is: mymilitarypages.com
